Discover our charming cottages, close to 13th century bastide village of Villeréal, south of Bergerac, with those two locations :
Situated in the Southwest of France, on the borders of the Dordogne and the Lot-et-Garonne, Le Jeanquet and La Bergerie are 3kms from the 13th century bastide village of Villeréal, with its covered market and fortified church, and 30kms south of Bergerac and the surrounding vineyards. Sarlat is 50kms to the east, and Bordeaux to the west is just over an hour and a half away.
Le Jeanquet is a lovely 18th century Perigordian farm with a pigeonnier (tower), typical of the buildings in this part of the region. Set in glorious countryside amongst 10 acres of trees and flowers, it has superb views across a wooded valley towards Château de Biron, which dominates the landscape for miles.
La Bergerie is a large and independent cottage with its own swimming pool. It is tucked away on a hillside with marvellous view over the countryside, amongst 4 acres of trees and flowers. It is set by the side of a quiet country lane, which leads to the farm, about 500 metres away from “le Jeanquet”.
Something to celebrate among friends and/or family? Le Jeanquet offers a unique experience. If you want, we can help you organise your celebration meal as well as some activities.
Le Jeanquet can welcome horse riders and horses for stop-overs throughout their traveling.
Go on a weekend thanks to the many “low-cost” flights between Bergerac (25 minutes away) and Paris, the UK, Belgium or the Netherlands.
