Hikes
Hikes, mountain bike circuits and horse-riding will give you the opportunity to discover the ever-changing landscapes of the Dordogne and the Lot-et-Garonne. More than 375 circuits are available.
Many maps are at your disposal at Le Jeanquet.
The hiking circuit ‘Bastide Royale » is 500m from La Bergerie at Le Jeanquet and starts from the delightful Parisot chapel.
Rivers
Fishing in the Dropt and numerous small lakes (3kms).
Canoeing and kayaking on the Dordogne and the Vézère (narrower and wilder) provide a wonderful day-out for the whole family: swimming, picnics, and unexpected views of the many castles in the valley.

Rock climbing and speleology in the Gavaudun area (20 min) with the association “Nature évasion”.
Accro’branches in the Parc’en ciel (20 min): tree climbing activities suitable for all age groups - from 7 to 77. Ideal for those who want to combine nature, and entertainment for all the family.
At Villeréal: bike-rental and tennis courts available.
Golf: an 18 hole course at Castelnaud (30 min).
For Kids
The farm of the Chaudron Magique: a place to learn and and have fun.. Many local tourist sites (castles, caves…) provide creative workshops for kids.

Duck foie gras, confit and magret at the Grangeneuve farm at Villeréal (1 km)
Wines: Monbazillac, Bergerac and Pécharmant vineyards (30 min). Also worth a visit: the village of Saint Emilion and its prestigious wines. And of course, all the private châteaux in the Bordeaux area, where you can taste and buy bottles of wine (75 min).
